The new version of the MarinTrust Chain of Custody has just been published. It will become effective from the 30th November 2020, when applications will start.

MarinTrust’s process on handling remote MarinTrust Factory and MarinTrust Chain of Custody audits came into effect in April 2020 following the Covid-19 outbreak.

MarinTrust is pleased to announce that Lloyds Register has been accepted as a third-party Certification Body (CB) to certify against the MarinTrust programme. The MarinTrust team have begun the onboarding process of Lloyds Register and has recently completed initial training.

The Gulf of Thailand mixed-trawl Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) fishery has been accepted onto the MarinTrust Improver Programme (IP).

In order to maintain the credibility and relevancy of the standard, the MarinTrust Governing Body Committee has ratified a proposal to review and enhance the programme through the development of ‘Version 3.0’.

MarinTrust has developed a new tool which enhances recognition between the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) and MarinTrust Standards and ensures continuity and traceability within the value chain.

The new version of the MarinTrust Chain of Custody (CoC standard), known as Version 2, became effective on 30 November 2020.
